The Structural Characteristics of Raghuveer Sahay’s Short Story ‘Vijeta’

Abstract

The short story Vijeta, written by Raghuvir Sahay, depicts the victorious journey of elevated human values. Through this story, it becomes evident that the author’s outlook on life and consciousness is fundamentally humanistic. He places firm faith in human emotions and ideals, and also believes that even if, due to circumstances, an individual may act against natural human tendencies or behave in a contradictory manner, the innate, spontaneous, and natural element of humanity is never defeated. It inevitably emerges with an indomitable spirit. Whether through resistance or acceptance with a smile, human beings are ultimately left with no option but to acknowledge it.

Abstract in Hindi Language: विजेता शीर्षक कहानी रघुवीर सहाय द्वारा रचित उदात्त मानवीय भावों की विजय यात्रा को दर्शाने वाली कहानी है।  इस कहानी के द्वारा सहज ही अनुमान लगाया जा सकता है कि लेखक की जीवन दृष्टि और चेतना मानवतावादी ही प्रमुख है द्यवह मानवीय भावों और विचारों पर विश्वास रखता है साथ ही यह भी मानता है कि परिस्थितिवश कोई व्यक्ति चाहे सहज मानवीय प्रकृति एवं प्रवृति के विपरीत चलना या विरुद्ध आचरण करना चाहे, पर मानवीयता का सहज स्वाभाविक एवं प्राकृतिक तत्व कभी पराजित नहीं होता।  वह अपराजेय भाव से ऊभर कर सामने आ ही जाता है द्यरोकर या हंसकर उसे स्वीकार करने के सिवा मनुष्य के पास और कोई चारा नहीं रहा करता।
