Abstract

Financial literacy is a process by which people get an awareness of their financial status and learn how to enhance it by over a period of time by establishing the financial habits of saves, budgeting, planning and consequently making the appropriate financial choices. Not only is financial literacy becoming prevalent but it is especially severe for the young adult who have just began to assume responsibility with regards to finance in any company or at personal level. Young adult financial knowledge might have a major influence on the growth of a community and country since they are the future generation. The goal of the current research is to evaluate West Siang District college students' financial literacy. The data for this research is acquired from primary and secondary sources with the use of structured questionnaire utilizing simple random sampling approach. Survey and Google form is the instrument used to analyze the data. This research would be beneficial to the government in knowing the financial literacy of young adult in the state and also may work as guideline for the banks and policy makers for understanding the role of financial literacy among the college students in the Arunachal Pradesh.
